The Assumptions for GraceGuy.org

  • The Bible is the foundation of Truth.
  • Jesus Christ is the complete manifestation of biblical Grace and its central theme. He is the Son of, and the only way to, a Holy God. Therefore, it is all through Christ alone, by His grace alone through my faith alone.
  • No commentaries or interpretations were used to establish the concepts presented here - just (really, really) thorough reading and direct reflecting of how I see the verses' explicit meaning.
  • If the verses don't include the word 'grace' in the translation you are using, it's normal. I used the original Hebrew and Greek texts as my reference points:
  • ---> In Old Testament Hebrew, the tripartite pof Exodus 34:6 is used as the basis. Therefore, it is first the instances of the root transliterated word hnn with its derivatives (the verb hanan, the nouns hentehinnâtahanûnîm, and hanînâ, and the adjective hannûn), then, second, the instances of the word ḥesed and finally, third, the word raḥûm or rḥm.
  • ---> In New Testament Greek, it is the transliterated root word charis and its derivatives that is used.
  • The lists are presented by topic and in order of appearance in the standard biblical text. Also, the verse references are based on the New King James version. It may be that the references in your version are one or two verses away, especially in the book of Psalms (Ps).
  • This is a lifetime project and, as such, it will never be complete. Therefore, updates to this website will be frequent. If your favorite Bible verse on Grace is not here - participate!
